Abstract


With the development of mobile communications , wireless networks and video technology , there has been some new video applications such as wireless PC camera , mobile video telephony and wireless sensor network , these new applications require low-power , low - complexity encoding equipment . However, the conventional digital video coding standards such as the ISO / IEC MPEG or ITU-T H.26x series can not meet these new applications . Distributed Video Coding consequent as a new video coding system , distributed video coding system is a non-symmetrical video compression system , which uses the independent encoding (intra- encoding) , and a joint decoding (interframe decoding) program to achieve the design of low-complexity encoding end . In a distributed video coding system , the side information (Side Information) is extremely important, the side information is correct or not distributed video coding system the rate distortion performance and compression efficiency have a significant impact , the more accurate edge information structure , the decoding side decoding require fewer parity bits , the higher the compression efficiency . However , how to accurately construct the side information is a prominent distributed video coding difficulty . This paper first reviews the theoretical basis of the distributed video coding and Research , and describes three typical distributed video coding scheme , followed by analysis of the side information general estimation method and multilateral information generation algorithm , focusing on analysis and achieve two the spatial and temporal correlation algorithm for multilateral information . The final article focuses a motion compensated interpolation side information based on the block boundary continuity estimation algorithm , the algorithm uses a bi - directional motion vectors, motion compensation is performed at different ratios to obtain a plurality of the interpolated frame after motion smoothing the motion vector thus obtained the field is more accurate and better quality of the interpolated frame . The algorithm also take full advantage of the complementary nature of the different interpolation frame and block boundary continuity to further improve the quality of the final interpolation frame . The different sequence simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is compared with the existing algorithms , subjective coding performance and image quality are improved .
