Abstract


Creation of motorcar pushed cities around crisis of environment problems at the same time brought convenience and celerity to traveling. Shopping mall emerged as the times’ requirement to decrease disadvantage of using of motorcar. It brought back to people relax and natural walking shopping way, via separation of driving way and walking way. However, with development of society and economic of our country, rapidly increase of quantity of motorcar causes jam of development of shopping mall in central district of cities. In China, there are a lot of problems for parking around shopping mall such as serious lack of parking space, imbalance of using of parking facilities, unsuitable management, simple and crude design. Those problems become a significant factor to inhibit its development.This is a research of parking space for shopping mall in central district of cities in China, via practical investigation, information study, using method of comparison and summarizing, aim to solve problems existing in planning and design of parking place for shopping mall. To discuss motorcar’s parking, passing in and out for shopping mall which is suitable for central district of Chinese cities;to find out suitable planning methods of layout of parking space for shopping mall;to improve design quality and vary design style of parking space for shopping mall;to achieve various functions of parking space. And through above study, finally to achieve the purpose of improve traffic, commercial and cultural environment of shopping mall, as well as to satisfy people’s life and activate economic of it.There are totally 6 chapters for this research:Chapter 1, to introduce aim and purpose, content, area of this research, additionally with general situation of domestic and foreign study of parking space for shopping mall.Chapter 2, to introduce background knowledge of this research as analyzing birth and growth of shopping mall, current traffic situation in Chinese cities, and development of car.Chapter 3, to summarize existing problems of parking space and their causes, according to practical investigation and analysis of current situation of parking spacefor shopping mall in central district of Chinese cities.Chapter 4, to summarize experience and failure of developed countries in solving parking problems, and research parking strategy suitable for situation of our country against the main problems of parking space for shopping mall in central district of Chinese cities.Chapter 5, to analyze planning rules of layout of parking space for shopping mall, and to find out reasonable planning methods of layout of parking space according to situation of space and layout of shopping mall as well as traffic environment.Chapter 6, to study design technique suitable for parking space for shopping mall, against current simple and crude design of parking space. To achieve the final purpose of vary parking space and bring more social and commercial advantage for shopping mall.Chapter 7, to summarize the whole study of the thesis, and propose the prospect of the Study on Design of Parking Space for shopping mall.
