Abstract


Database-related Web-based large-scale commercial applications, access to a large amount, and every visitor to access the data must obtain a database connection to the database, which makes the database connection become a scarce resources, it repeated use. In order to reuse the database connection, you need to use the object pool mode in the mode of the shared pool to use the database connection pool management and reuse database connections. This article focuses on an existing object pool Commons-Pool and database connection pool Commons-DBCP research and analysis: 1. Use Commons-Pool focus to the basic method of the object pool, as well as inside it with the object pool closely related interface / classes and methods. Properties and parameters related to the configuration of the object pool. Also analyzed the commons-Pool system architecture, the use of UML diagrams to visually describe the link between the key interface / class. Analysis Commons-DBCP, focusing on analysis of pooled database connection and connection pooling related to the management of key classes and methods. Commons-DBCP commons-pool, it also describes the link between the both of them. To display the database connection pool database-related Web-based large-scale commercial applications, database connection pool can improve the efficiency of database connection, you need to conduct performance testing. This article describes the basic methods of performance testing, designed and implemented a performance test program. Performance test results show that the performance of the application using the connection pool than the performance of the application does not use the connection pool has been greatly improved. Commons-DBCP, for example for the shortcomings of the traditional database connection pool capacity can not be changed during operation, optimization function.
