Abstract


China joined the WTO at the end of 2001 , undertakings within five years to give national treatment to foreign commercial banks , foreign commercial banks canceled for the right to operate , and the establishment of regional forms and other limitations . Chinese commercial banks began to face the impact of foreign commercial banks . At present five -year transitional period has to , China's banking industry in this five -year grace period expires if foreign commercial banks are well positioned to face full competition ready ? Now competitive situation in the end how ? How to improve the overall competitiveness of China's banking industry force ? these problems will become academics and policy-making is very important issue . In this paper the main line , the first commercial banks quoted the competitiveness of the three theoretical foundation - microscopic theory of banking , foreign investment and competitiveness theory theory . Then, from the industry level empirical study of Chinese commercial banks industry competition , the use of international investment theory to study foreign commercial banks into China 's motive and effect ; and using Michael Porter's theory of competitive analysis of China's five competitive banking force balance condition ; while local and foreign commercial banks were SWOT analysis . This article also from the micro-economic level, the individual competitive position of commercial banks do empirical research , at this level of study is designed to benchmark the competitiveness of commercial bank system , the competitiveness of commercial banks into real competitive potential competitiveness and the competitiveness of the three criteria for the strategic management level , and according to the characteristics of commercial banks , with reference to the CAMLES analysis, design of commercial banks competitiveness measured feature layer , each layer also contains elements of different evaluation indicators , and then using analytic hierarchy method to construct fuzzy evaluation matrix , select the China construction Bank , China Merchants Bank -funded commercial bank sample , the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in China 's foreign commercial banks samples were analyzed. From the sub- competitiveness , China's domestic commercial banks in some real competitiveness indicators some advantages, but because of the potential competitiveness and strategic management capacity gap resulting overall competitiveness behind. Finally, based on comparative analysis of the results presented from the external environment and internal management to improve both our domestic commercial banks' overall competitiveness of specific methods and measures.
