Because of the increasingly hard employment situation, the whole society, including students and their families, is paying more attention to whether the graduates from independent colleges, especially those majoring in architecture, could success in the employment competition. Using all sorts of career planning theories for graduates for reference, the author analyzes the sample---the School of Architecture of JQ Independent College about the training program, characteristics of architecture, and so on, which represent the factors about the supply of JQ Independent College. And based on the market’s demands, requirements and standards for architecture human resource, this paper aims at finding out the gap between supply and demand. By using the SWOT analysis method, this paper also analyzes the current situation of the career planning for architecture students in JQ Independent College from four aspects, including the employment strength, weakness of lacking practical training, opportunity from the macroscopic demand and threat from the competition.Based on the situation of supply and demand, and taking the architecture students of JQ Independent College as the samples, this paper analyzes the their group characteristics, the current situation and existing problems of teaching management in the Architecture School by questionnaires and interviews. And based on the influencing factor of career planning, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the teaching staff of the Architecture School, the major curriculum and practical teaching curriculum, and then, gives out the related evaluation.According to the above analyzing, this paper points out the necessity and urgency of career planning and career instructing for the graduates of architecture according to the employers’demands. And then, at the end of the paper, four suggestions are presented, which are about innovating the teaching system so as to improve the Architecture education career planning in JQ Independent College, including, to help students with their career planning, the college should set up a complete curriculum for career planning, innovate the architecture teaching system, set up the employers’demand-oriented curriculum, improve students’creative ability by practical teaching, improve architecture teaching quality by setting up specialized and double-professionally-titled teaching staff, provide students with job instruction and career education by combining the professional skills with the market’s demand efficiently. To make students more competitive, the related departments for architecture career planning should set up all kinds of platforms for students by using all resources provided by the college. And JQ Independent College should also exploit the potentialities of the investor to set up the practice bases and teacher-training bases so that we can combine the individuals, the college and the employers together and thus fulfill the seamless joint of the talent training in independent colleges and the employers’demand.
