Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multi-carrier wireless environment high-speed transmission technology, which the high spectrum efficiency, anti-multipath interference and other advantages to become the next generation of wireless communication system physical layer technologies candidate programs, while In the military communications field also has a good prospect. At the same time, frequency hopping technology for its excellent anti-jamming performance, in the civilian and military communications mobile communications has also been widely used. In order to improve the traditional frequency-hopping communication system has a low rate of frequency hopping, the transmission rate is low enough, we can consider the OFDM technology with the advantages of frequency hopping OFDM communication system configured to implement frequency hopping communication. In this paper, based on large amounts of data, mainly on frequency hopping (FH) communication system, the basic principles of composition and structure of important performance indicators introduced orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication systems as well as the background of the emergence and development structures and so on. On this basis, the sum of the sub-carrier frequency hopping and frequency hopping frequency hopping OFDM both forms, introduced two frequency hopping OFDM system model, advantages and disadvantages. Meanwhile, using QPSK and 16QAM modulation in AWGN and Rayleigh channel, using Matlab simulation, the simulation can be seen hopping OFDM is a more efficient modulation techniques, military communications in the future in more broad development and application of space. In addition, the paper also describes the frequency hopping OFDM modulation and packet structure, in reference to the basis of OFDM carrier synchronization introduced hopping OFDM timing synchronization method and carrier synchronization algorithms discussed long and short training sequence carrier frequency offset estimation of impact and the use of Matlab hopping OFDM timing synchronization and carrier synchronization algorithm simulation. Simulation results show that: (1) at the timing synchronization algorithm, based on the delay associated with the OFDM algorithm can accurately locate the starting position of an OFDM symbol hopping. (2) the carrier synchronization algorithm, based on the delay associated with the OFDM algorithm can estimate the carrier frequency offset, for small integer multiple of times and the mean square error of the frequency offset compensation signal to noise ratio, after more than 8dB can be up to 10 -4 magnitude estimation method to prove that this is feasible. (3) the use of the OFDM symbol uniform discrete pilot insertion method can effectively offset against constellation corrected, and this way QPSK and 16QAM modulation mode, in AWGN and Rayleigh channel are feasible. Through the simulation can be seen: the proposed frequency hopping OFDM communication system structure design, system performance simulation results and analysis has some theoretical reference value used for frequency hopping OFDM timing estimation and frequency offset estimation method is feasible.
