Abstract


Since the 1990s , the traditional urban water conservation and use of space at home and abroad has aroused widespread concern in the city . At present, many of the traditional urban water system of its urban areas, urban space as the focus of remediation . In this paper, Chinese traditional urban water networks within the old city as the research object , screening out some typical urban water problems . The focus of research is the traditional old city range water conservation and use of physical space . I first demonstrated not only in the history of urban water systems play an important role in the foundation , but also the city's premier landscape and ecological elements. By studying the history of the city water system changes , summarized the current China's traditional urban water typical problems : 1. Cities River and historic preservation issues . 2 Urban Water and Urban Transport layout problems. 3 water and green open space issues . 4 along the land for urban water systems . Second, using cross -disciplinary perspective , study abroad related to the current theory and practice . Which attempts to summarize and discuss the law . Study the spatial organization around the city water system , protection and utilization issues discussed urban planning, environmental engineering science , water management , urban transport, urban ecology, urban greening system , land use and planning and management around the city water system and other factors play a relevant role and inter-relationships . The author of the urban water conservation and utilization of the view that : 1. Joint water resources and space ; 2 . Conservation and Utilization combined ; 3 . Ecological design patterns ; 4 multi- objective planning integration . Finally, the historic Old Town district of Guangzhou water conservation and use as an example . With the historical method , based on the present situation of the protection and use of viable proposals.
