Abstract

Study the human body in the normal function of the state and evoked potential changes in the disease process, the basic physiological research and clinical diagnosis has important significance. Various forms of stimulation can cause evoked potentials, somatosensory evoked potentials reflect the integrity of the spinal cord and central nervous system function and brain somatosensory stimulation reaction mechanism. Firstly, design a new type of somatosensory evoked potentials current stimulator, the stimulator with constant current pulse electrical stimulation to facilitate the evaluation of stimulation parameters. The somatosensory stimuli containing high pressure, extremely important to protect the safety of the subjects. To do this, we use a dedicated DC / DC isolated power supply, all control signals generated by the microcontroller through the optocoupler circuit isolation control constant current circuit. Current stimulus parameters are precisely controlled by computer, simple operation, friendly interface. Moreover, the entire circuit board design is compact, easy to use. Submerged in the background EEG somatosensory evoked potential amplitude of the signal is very small, and difficult to extract, and must use the appropriate method of data analysis and processing can be extracted from the collected EEG evoked potential signal. This paper describes the most commonly used coherent averaging evoked potential signal processing method and frequency domain analysis methods, and their respective characteristics and scope of the comparison. In this paper, current stimulator and EEG units became available can be used to study somatosensory evoked potentials in experimental systems and designed several experiments. During the experiment using a variety of methods to reduce the stimulus artifact For data analysis, the signal analysis showed that the measures taken are very effective, evoked potential data almost no stimulus artifact. EEG data analysis and processing, we use the coherent averaging method to extract to transient somatosensory evoked potentials and frequency domain analysis methods to extract to a steady-state somatosensory evoked potentials, and their generation mechanism analysis, our results many scholars have reported consistent. Meanwhile, combine the frequency domain analysis of EEG topographic mapping techniques, draw a steady-state somatosensory evoked potential amplitude topographic maps, intuitively reflect the distribution of evoked potentials in the scalp, and analysis of the corresponding brain activity. Proved analysis is an effective method to study the brain of somatosensory stimulation somatosensory evoked potentials.
