Abstract

Dimethyl ether (DME) is a novel , Clean Diesel alternative fuels . , Dimethyl ether in a diesel engine to promote the application is still in the research phase , research dimethyl ether combustion performance of guiding significance for the development and optimization of dimethyl ether engine . On the basis of direct injection diesel quasi-dimensional combustion model and experimental studies of dimethyl ether , dimethyl ether engine quasi-dimensional combustion model . The model is based on oil droplet evaporation combustion theory , the partition in accordance with fuel ejection time , including fuel spray entrainment , evaporation , heat transfer , and combustion sub-models . The model takes into account the characteristics of dimethyl ether in the cylinder instantaneous evaporation model assumes no oil beam rebuffed problem , consider a droplet diameter distribution of fuel , using the fuel injection law is closer to the actual injection process sinusoidal ; cell ignited using Lag the ignition combustion model to determine the air- fuel combustion in accordance with the equivalent ratio combustion , combustion process between each plot independently of each other . Entire combustion model is divided into compression , combustion , expansion of the three phases calculated using the program written in VB calculation . The validation of the model compared to the curves of the cylinder pressure of the engine cylinder pressure curve and the actual measured using simulated . Agreement simulation results and experimental results in most conditions , from graphical trend view , the two trends match proved established the dimethyl ether quasi- dimensional combustion model practicality . The evaluation of the pros and cons of the overall engine operation performance , is to start from the heat of combustion efficiency , engine noise and brutal operation , the level of harmful emissions . Generally thermal efficiency and the latter two repulsion , need comprehensive consideration of various factors , viable premise gradual adjustment of the operating parameters of the engine to optimize engine performance of the whole . This article by simulation engine fueled with dimethyl ether performance analysis to study the change engine fuel injection system parameters , including the main parameters : the injection advance angle , injection duration and the total orifice flow area . Studies have shown that , in considering the engine power and emissions performance before
