Abstract


This article is based on purchasing power parity ( PPP ) , the study of the price impact of the consumption gap between China 's urban residents . By sampling the data , we calculated the large differences that exist between different areas of the consumer price , the price gap largely determined by each district residents in consumer food prices and consumption structure . Consumption compared to the provinces after the PPP adjusted consumption and nominal occurred great changes in price to some extent reduce the consumption gap between regions . With the increase in the provinces of the group , the introduction of the actual consumption of non-performing index of the relative price and the name of consumer non-performing index gap is getting smaller and smaller . Inflation in the 1993-2004 period , the contribution rate of increase of the price of the Gini coefficient and non-performing index . Central and western regions shows the characteristics of a high degree of \nearly two percentage points , we can double adjustment of the prices and consumption to reduce actual consumption gap between China 's urban residents .
