Abstract


With the development of digital image processing technique, the image processing system, which has a wide application prospect, has been deeply used in many important areas,so the main aim of this study is to develop an ’Image Acquisition and Processing System’.Considering the research project of dsp application in image processing,we combine the CMOS image sensor and the TMS320C6711 DSP to develop an ’Image Acquisition and Processing System’,then make the system acquire and process both static and dynamic digital image .This system includes the CMOS image acquisition daughter card which is composed of a CMOS image sensor, a frame buffer, and the other devices-the forward system, and the DSK which has a TMS320C6711 DSP as its CPU-the backward system. In order to prove its functon,in this paper, the system is applied to detect the object in a space which is under surveillance.Except to operation with the host PC, this system can be a Stand-alone one through programming the flash memory on the DSK board. Because the DSP is programmable, we can modify and add the recognized programs arbitrarily. Therefore, this system can become a multirecognized function and portable image acquisitionsystem.
