Abstract


The past three years, the overall level of economic development in Tianjin development has made great progress, from a good geographical advantage and accumulated years of construction, the development of Tianjin’s financial industry has always been strong, constant innovation:compatible with the economic center of northern modern financial service system having begun to take shape, financial institutions and organizations continually improve service system, developing comprehensive management, foreign exchange management reform pilot deepening. Tianjin’s financial construction supports for the development of the real economy, both of them balanced development, pouring regional economic development into energy. Finance innovation brand of Tianjin Binhai gradually formed. This provided basis to Tianjin finance scale and quality expansion. Regional cluster development within the financial sector, improve the financial enterprises of the efficiency and industry competitiveness, and through the dissemination of market information and financial transactions to promote the diffusion of innovation, implementation of radiation to the surrounding and stimulating role. So whether it is financial development in Tianjin has been achieved, or the future financial direction of development of Tianjin, all shows that Tianjin has the basis and potential to build the Northern Financial Center.In the paper, started with the three major theories of regional finance, the paper analyzes the formation path of regional finance center. On the basis of this, through the SWOT analysis of Tianjin developing regional finance center and evaluation of financial competitiveness in different cities compared, the paper studies the financial competitiveness of Tianjin city status. According to the result, the development of Tianjin’s financial industry takes shape, but the efficiency of capital is not high enough, and financial innovation mechanism is still not perfect, especially the relatively weak financial infrastructure, so there are still many areas need improvement. In the light of the City Competitiveness Report published by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2009, in China’s three major economic circles, the development speed of Bohai Economic Rim is the fastest, but in the line a breakdown of the key cities competitiveness ranking, there is a certain disadvantage in the aspects of economic structure, system, government management, capital strength and talent reserve of Tianjin. So Tianjin needs to use the current window period to accumulate the financial resources, to adjust the layout of the financial industry. It is based on this analysis, combined with China’s financial center level and the demand for financial development in Tianjin; at the end of the paper explore the focus and breakthrough of the reform, innovation, development, and improve during the process of building Tianjin financial center, and propose the path and countermeasure of building northern financial center, to provide for the development of Tianjin’s financial information.
