Abstract


Historical statistics show that the export of electromechanical products of Guangdong Province had been maintained rapid growth during past many years. After China’s accession to WTO, this trend was rapidly changed due to TBT. In order to offer constructive comments and suggestions and then energize economic development of Guangdong’s foreign trade, this paper is born.This paper uses a combination of research methods-historical analysis and empirical analysis, which take full advantage of historical statistic data on the export of electromechanical products of Guangdong Province during the year 1995-2008. To study further the impact of TBT, the author takes Guangdong exported to the EU as an example.After analysis, the reliability model verifies that TBT has a significant influence on the growth of export of electromechanical products in Guangdong. This paper also confirms the demand theory and Keynesian Mundell theory, and gives a lot of good recommendations for enhancing the capability of independent innovation, which has far-reaching significance on the core competitiveness of enterprises.
