Abstract


With the development of research in psychology and education, non-intellectual factors played a vital role in all human activities, especially in study activities. But reality shows that universities put insufficient emphasis on non-intellectual factors of college students. In order to response to this problem, this article analysis the concept of Non-intellectual factors and combine the demand for talents in contemporary society, and then gives theory and reality background. This article provides ways and specific methods after analyzing the main problems. This article is divided in four parts:Part I: this part outlines the background of theoretical studies of this non-intellectual factors and defines the concept of non-intellectual factors The concept of non-intellectual factors was earliest given in the 20th century by the Americans. In the 1980s, our education scholars began to do theory and experimental research of the non-intellectual factors. That aroused attention of educational and psychological community and was highly valued.Part II: this part analyzes the need of training the college students’ non-intellectual factors from theoretical and reality basis. Comprehensive development theory, theory of law and value of education provide the theoretical basis. Community development, education reform and quality education in colleges and universities provide the realistic basis.Part III: this part points out the main problems that exist in the non-intellectual factors and analyzes the relevant factors. The main problems include motivation vague, interest monotonous, emotional vulnerability, personality bias. This article analyzes three mainly reasons, that is colleges and universities educators and managers, society and students themselves.Part IV: this part provides effective and specific methods to solve the problems. That includes transformation of the traditional conception of the ideological and political education, enriching the content of the ideological and political education and cultivating high quality education workers. Inspire method, regulation method, persuasion and education method and practice method should be used to explore the Non-intellectual factors of college students.
