Abstract


Objectives: The super petrosal vein is main draining vein of posterior cranial fossa. Being the primary cloging vein and concernful duty vein in microvascular decompression operation, the vein is more and more attractive recently. It’s very significant to be family with the applied anatomy of this vein to operators . Nearby, many foreign authors have carried out wealthy applied anatomy study of the vein. However, domestic study in this range is not enough. In this paper, the author expatiated the applied anatomy characteristics of super petrosal vein as a result of his study based on clinical demand for the sake of benefiting microvascular decompression operation.Methods: The research should be conducted in two aspects: the corpse head dissecting and the clinical operation observing. The researching group took 15 adult cadaveric heads (30 sides) as specimens, which had been treated by infusing the latex into the arteries and veins, and then sawed along a snnuliform from the eyebrow to the upper edge of the external occipital protuberance, removed away the calvarium, hemicerebrum and interbrain, and reserved the brain stem, cerebellum and whole entorium cerebelli. Then, veins should be observed and examed after revealing the entorium cerebelli. The contents of observation may be: observing, measuring and then recording the position, conformation, embranchment and differentiation of the super petrosal veins, and its neighborhood with trigeminal、facial nerve、acoustic nerve.
