Since the beginning of recorded history, humans have always had complicated connection with scenery, and 99% of the human time has been spent on the mountain area, which is controlling each kind of activities in the city as natural landscape in the environment of the city, making profound influence on every person’s mental and physical life for a long time. China is a country in rich of mountains, and mountain area and hills are 43% of the total area of the land of China. Building on mountain area, many cities like Chongqing city, with waters connecting lands naturally and city people’s communities scattering about, have formed the urban Landscape characteristics of the coexistence of the mountain, the water, the city, and the human being. The abundant patterns of mountain space have formed diverse transportation network and landscape contact surface, and cockle roads and river courses constitute the unique scenery of cities in mountain area.Because of geographical position, geological pattern, and vegetation particularity, the development of the mountain parks of Chongqing, is facing more prominent ecological problems. As a result of nature factors and human activities, to some extent, the ecological environment of original natural vegetation suffered disturbance and destruction, and indigenous plants and regional plant community degenerated and even vanished, with soil erosion, landslide and so on. Therefore, it is urgent to carry on the research on plant landscape restoration and reconstruction in these parks.In this paper, typical mountain parks of Chongqing are taken as an example, related theory of ecology restoration are applied to this special and complex environment, with landscape architecture, landscape ecology, plant ecology, genetics of landscape plant resources, ecology engineering, ethical ecology, forestry, soil science, geology, principle and technology of conservation of water and soil, and so on.
