Abstract


The monitoring and management of the forest pests plays an important role in forestry sustainable development County is the most administration unit that organizes to implement the monitoring of the forest pests in our country. So the management of the data of forest pests in the county is of tremendous significance.This study aims to supply integrated and systemic platform with the monitoring and management of forest pests on county level.The research takes the Shaxian of Fujian province as the experiment area and develops forest pests management system based on ArcView3.2 applying its secondary programming language--Avenue, such technology and method as database, structured system analysis and design and object-oriented programming introduced. It is able to manage data, prepare to fill in occurrence and prevention data and monitoring data using sex pheromone .exchange data with the prevention information system and download from or upload special shapefile to GPS receiver .It can also supply users with some tools to draw on thecomputer to show the occurrence trend of forest pests visually and make the thematic map.The read-in and management of data can be embodied to the subcompartment,so it can promote the level of monitoring and management from town to subcompartment.Then the truth, veracity and practicability of the data is guaranteed and positioning, ration, and visualization of the forest pests can be realized.
