Abstract


High-rise buildings are like a two-edged sword in current city construction. They partly solve such problems as over-heavy population pressure and limited land resources in modern cities, but they bring about some obviously negative influences on cities’ spacious forms and environmental features at the same time. How to harmonize the relationship between high-rise buildings and city construction has become an issue drawing widespread attention from both home and abroad. A study on the rationalization distribution of high-rise buildings can not only introduce the ideas and thoughts of city planning into the high-rise buildings design, but also draw attention to the whole relationship between cities and buildings in city planning, thus creating pleasant urban environment.This dissertation mainly explores the rationalization distribution of high-rise buildings in Taiyuan City. Based on the data collected through field survey, this dissertation chooses some buildings and sites as representatives to make a deep and special study by adopting the research methods of comparison, induction and comprehensive analysis, and then demonstrates the feasibility of rebuilding principles and patterns.
