Abstract


For the particularities and the difficulties for evaluations of Public Security(PS) work, informatizition of Public Security Organizations(PSO) slows down, at the same time, some urgent affairs has to be solved. The Management Information System for Police Station is developed for the sake of fasting the development of Public Security informatizition, importing modern management strategies, building logical management mechanisms, collecting Public Security information and servicing the Public Security work.The system adopts the B/S structure which is popular recently. With the requests from browser of the client end, the server can access databases and fulfill the task of business. It collects common business information and transmits the information between various users. The system complies with the standard framework of J2EE, which guarantees platform-independency, business-extensibility and reusability of the software.The Public Security’s work and its associated business data are analyzed with data flow chart during the procedure of requirement analysis, and the class structures are illustrated with UML during the procedure of design. In accordance with the principle of MVC (Model-View-Controller) structure and Structs Framework, the system is developed on the layers of Model, View and Controller respectively.This thesis describes the design and implementation of the Management Information System for Police Station. It first introduces purpose of the system, summarizes main techniques used in the system. Then, it describes the procedure for data processing of the Police Station and brings forth a schema for designing the system, including the design of databases and function modules. The implementation of these functions is illustrated followed. At last, the system is estimated objectively and generally, some suggestions for improving the system are presented as well.
