The theory of industrial ecology is developing rapidly, when sustainable development strategies are carried out the whole world. Both theories and practice about the relations of industry and environment have been well developed. However, the theory of industrial ecology should be practiced by enterprises ultimately. Because there would be no strategy of industrial ecology if no enterprise take part in it. Now, many enterprises are under the pressure of market competition, the government environmental requirements and public awareness of environmental protection. Whether they can carry out strategies of industrial ecology is bearing on the future and development of the enterprises directly. So, what influence does industrial ecology bring to the competitiveness of enterprises? How to guide the enterprises to participate in industrial ecological practice better? The research on those issues in academic community is still scarce. This article starts on this basis. The author tries to research the influence which industrial ecology brings to enterprises competitiveness. First of all, the author did qualitative analysis. Then, the author established an appropriate indicator system and used some measurement methods, in order to know the influence which industrial ecology bring to enterprises competitiveness. Finally, the author made empirical analysis about Ningbo, and gave some advices.The author got three conclusions as follows: Firstly, industrial ecology affects enterprises competitiveness from different levels. The support of macro-level, mid-level and micro-level is all related to the competitiveness of enterprises. Those relations are positive and long-term stability. In other words, the practice has proved that cycle economy, eco-industrial parks and clean production are positive to enterprises competitiveness. Secondly, the micro-level support make greatest largest contribution to enterprises competitiveness, and the macro-level support do greater. In other words, clean production promotes the enterprises competitiveness most, and cycle economy also bring good opportunities to it. Thirdly, all of macro-level, mid-level and micro-level subjects should take part in process of industry ecology. The implementation of industrial ecology is responsibility of both enterprises and governments. So, all of them should make efforts to promote industry ecology from different aspects.
