Abstract


In clinic, the symptoms of ischemic apoplexy convalescents can get apparent improvement after a long - period acupuncture treatment. At the same time, this treatment can mitigate and reduce the occurrence of sequel. As we all know , a< upuncture treatment have the therapeutic effect mainly through the meridians and acupoints, while its essential function points are the morbid intracranial correlative arteries. Is there any correlation between the meridians and the cerebral vasculars? Some one has explored the correlation between the three Yang Meridians of Foot and the major intracranial arteries and gotten valuable conclusion. Here we selected the ischemic apoplexy convalescents randomly to set up groups for clinical observation. Then we observed the Tran-scranial Doppler effect before and after acupuncturing the Taichong point on the Liver meridian of Foot - Jueyin. Vp (which is the most valuable diagnosis index) was selected for index to discuss the correlation between this meridian and the chief intracranial arteries. The results showed that the Liver meridian of Foot - Jueyin had more distinct effect on internal carotid artery system especially the middle cerebral artery and the anterior cerebral artery . We also found that Vp was obviously improved one hour after acupuncture. This conclusion will provide scientific evidence not only for the treatment of ischemic apoplexy convalescents by acupuncture but also for the research on the correlation between meridians and cerebral vascular.
