Abstract


With the fast development of embedded technology and network technology, embedded communication equipments such as personal digital assistant, intellectual phone and mobile phone are more and more used. Embedded equipments could be a node among computer network, and should cruise freely in the Internet. A user who only knows the identifier of an equipment could precisely locate it, and can do transactions such as e-mail, voice or video communication. How to efficiently supply device’s communication, connection, session, control and provide relevant service already become a popular research hotspot in the recent embedded communication domain.SIP protocol adapt to be used for wide network and has gain great attention in the industry because of its simple and flexible traits, thus, it will play a more and more importance in the next generation network. How to apply the flexibility and extensibility of SIP to embedded devices is the stress of our research task.Through the analysis of embedded devices’ demand and the research of SIP protocol , the text discuss why we implement SIP protocol in embedded devices and the application foreground of SIP protocol in embedded devices. After the analysis of the demand, we design a SIP Server in the environment of limited resources, and achieve to resolve a SIP message, In addition, we also accomplish register and connection function of E-SIP Server, and manage the configuration and performance of SIP devices.SIP has great potential in embedded domain, and should be further researched and explored. At the end of the text, we exert view and summarization of SIP in embedded system application.
