ObjectiveBy analyzing the epidemical characteristics and regulation of category B and C infectious diseases during 2005-2009 in Jinshui district of Zhengzhou city, subsequently to supply scientific basis for drawing up prevention strategy and measure of category B and C infectious diseases.MethodsReporting and Management System of Disease Surveillance Information developed by Chinese Center of Disease Prevention and Control was used to collect date. Distributions of disease described by incidence rate, mortality rate and fatality rate were analyzed through descriptive epidemiology. It was focus on the original situation, epidemiological characters and distribution of category B and C infectious diseases, and analysis of important diseases. The date were analyzed by using of Excel software.Results1. There were 26 kinds of category B and C infectious diseases,57598 new cases and 34 death reported during 2005-2009 in Jinshui district of Zhengzhou city. The incidence rate of category B and C infectious diseases for the past 5 years was 5372.26/100 000, and the mortality rate was 3.17/100000. Thereinto, there were 18 kinds category B infectious diseases,45234 new cases and 33 death reported. The incidence rate of category B infectious disease for the 5 years was 4219.05/100 000, and the mortality rate was 3.08/100 000. There were 8 kinds category C infectious diseases,12364 new cases and 33 death. The incidence rate of category C infectious disease for 5 years was 1153.21/100 000, and the mortality rate was 0.09/100 OOO.Evelen kinds category B and C infectious diseases were not reported. The incidence rate of Hand-Foot-Mouth disease was increased during these 5 years, meanwhile Tuberculosis, Measles, Dysentery, Hepatitis A and Gonorrhea in category B infectious disease were decreased.2. In which the incidence rate ranked former five sites during the past five years, The lincidence rates of Hepatitis B, other infectious diarrhea, Hepatitis C, Hand-Foot-Mouth disease and Tuberculosis were top five during the past five years. There were totally 46640 new cases of these five diseases which accounted for 80.98% of total cases. The incidence rate of tuberculosis was decreased from 129.55/100 000 in 2005 to 71.53/100 000 in 2009,which had the most obviously decreasing with 44.79%. The incidence rates were decreased by 59.63%、63.41%、40.57% and 33.03% in Measles, Dysentery, Hepatitis A and Gonorrhea respectively. The mortality rates of H1N1 influenza, Hepatitis B, AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hand-Foot-Mouth disease were top five.3. From 2005 to 2009, there were 35500 cases reported with infectious diseases transmitted by blood and sex, which accounted for 61.63% of total cases and ranked number one. The second disease was intestinal infectious disease which accounted for 22.98% with 13238 new cases. Infectious disease transmitted by air, natural focus infection disease and arbo infectious disease were third and fourth.4. Measles, Japanese encephalitis, Mumps, Dysentery and other Infection Diarrhea had obvious seasonality. The gender ratios of Hepatitis B, other Infection Diarrhea, Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis and Hand-Foot-Mouth disease showed decreasing trend. Working Staff was the highest career with incidence, followed by children, students, which accounted for 55.98% of total cases.ConclusionThe incidence rate of infectious diseases have no obvious change in Jinshui District in Zhengzhou City from 2005 to 2008, but was increased obviously in 2009. The morbidity rate and mortality rate are higher in category B infectious disease than in category C infectious disease. The infectious diseases transmitted by blood and sex are the major diseases which threat the residents’health in Jinshui District, such as Hepatitis B, Hand-Foot-Mouth disease, other infection diarrhea, Hepatitis C and Tuberculosis. Therefore, effective measures should be set up to control infectious diseases according to the general epidemic rule and the epidemic characters of various infectious diseases.
