Abstract


Along with the development of the modern society economy, outward the exaltation of the demonstration and city public environment quality of the city is gradually valued by people. The external appearance of the city building, especially the vertical plane ornament of city building , as the most direct present of city now, therefore, its design is very importance.The vertical plane ornament of city building involving art esthetics, architectonics, the environment psychology etc. Various knowledge and different culture, economy etc. factor as to it’s will also produce influence, as a result, in the different history period, the vertical plane ornament of city building presented different style and act as different function.Under modern social milieu (the material and the spirit environment), have the factors influence the vertical plane ornament of city building varied? What is the new require of people to the vertical plane ornament of city building? Which is the direction of the vertical plane ornament of mordern city building under the influence of these factors developing? Take these problems, the writer carry on a research on the vertical plane ornament of modern city building.This paper base on the modern social milieu, try to analyze the vertical plane ornament of modern city building, discuss the contents of the vertical plane ornament of modern city building, and submit the design method for the vertical plane ornament of mordern city building. The paper contents is divided into six parts:Chapter 1, introduction.Put forward the origin, background, meaning, contents, method and frame of the vertical plane ornament of city building research.Chapter 2, summarised the vertical plane ornament of city building.This included the definition of the vertical plane ornament of building, and the development, key factors, classification and characters of it. The paper denoted that the vertical plane ornament of modern city building escape from the limit of "god" and religion in original period and ancient period, change to adapt the enviroment and satisfy the need of people. The design of vertical plane ornament of modern city building more and more attach importance to the applicability and the comfor, and form a " human feelings turn" city public space environment.Chapter 3, carried on analysis to the factor and the design contents that influences the vertical plane ornament design of modern city building.Chapter 4, signed the design principle, the design main factor and the design
