As a creation deriving from human’s long life-experience, the fine-footed comb has cumulated the human’s constant thoughts of creating and decorating. After revealing decoration arts’formation and development, it finally will provide beneficial reference to the research of religious ceremony and custom, civilized communication, crafts and techniques.In this paper, as a special daily-life tool, the fine-footed comb reflects people’s pursuing beauty and experiencing decoration. This decoration will be everlasting for its long practicability. First, it is artificiality in Neolithic Age; its decorative arts should belong to the field of modeling and craft-art. Also it is an entity, which has use value and aesthetic value, created by skilled people. Secondly, its development and transformation is a result of constantly meeting, adapting human’s high-level life needs and aesthetic demands. The fine-footed comb’s decoration evolution has become a two-way civilized creation; whose process is from pure-functional creation to creation and beauty simultaneously. Also it displayed the stereo-image of social fashion and aesthetic tendency at that time. Thirdly, the development and transformation of the fine-footed comb’s shape structure would be affected by social fashion and aesthetic tendency, and other implements’decoration, and then it would present various era styles.
