Abstract


Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and the safety of the therapy HuaierGranule combined with chemotherapy in treating patients with breast cancer.Methods: 30 cases of patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into twogroups, 15 patients in therapy group with Huaier Granule combined withchemotherapy (CEF or TP regimen), and 15 in control group with chemotherapyalone.Results: After two periods of treatment, the symptoms, KPS, immune parameterswere all improved in therapy group, better than in control group (p<0.05) . Thechemotherapeutic toxicities were mainly bone marrow depression and gastrointestinaldisturbance. The toxicity occurent rate and toxic degree is slighter in treated groupthan in control group (p<0.05).Conclusion: "Huaier Granule" combined with chemotherapy is an effective method intreating patients with breast cancer. It can reduce toxic response of chemotherapy,enhance clinical efficacy and improve the quality of life.
