Abstract


Thirty years ago, linguist , advocates of equal rights for men Robin Lakoff published her groundbreaking book \This marks the branch of sociolinguistics , language and gender studies \The book in the past 30 years has led to a great deal of thought and discussion . Many languages, gender differences , the problem is caused by the word of men and women different reasons , have not been fundamentally resolved . The purpose of this paper is to evaluate some of the arguments of Lakoff on female speech features through the study of the characteristics of the words of the American women . In addition, the paper also seek answers to language gender differences in which factors caused this problem . Introduction of the first list of seven issues to be studied as well as determine topics of Reflections . Second anthology overview . The third chapter discusses sociolinguistic research methods, focus on the two methods used in this study : survey method and discourse analysis . Chapter quantitative and qualitative analysis of the material in the responses of 78 U.S. citizens to participate in the study , and 22 citizens of the United Kingdom , Australia , and the corpus of discourse analysis .
