Abstract

End functionalized polymer in macromolecular materials synthesis and applications by more and more attention, in addition to as a the macromolecular monomer or pre polymer in the preparation of block, graft, dendrimers, hyperbranched configuration use more outside of the dimer, the last decade, they are in the field of polymer blends reaction with modified material surface graft modification and catalysis, drug release applications such also paid much attention to. Especially the use of a terminal functional polymer prepared by anionic polymerization having a molecular weight of controllable and narrow molecular weight distribution, functional metering, etc., it has important industrial value in applied research. According to the mechanism of anionic polymerization of functionalized capping agent method, select the maleic anhydride as an anionic active functionalized chain terminating agent (capping agent) to the terminal functional group of the acyl group-containing acrylic polymer was prepared mainly on the optimization of the process conditions, Reaction Mechanism of the end functionalized polymer performance detection analysis and its application prospects for research. -Butyl lithium as initiator, cyclohexane as the solvent, tetrahydrofuran (or the tetramethylethylenediamine) and lithium chloride as the polar modifier activity of preparing a polymer chain, and then the maleic anhydride functionalized capping agent The active chain functionalized termination, and finally got the terminal acyl group-containing acrylic structure of functionalized polyethylene (PS-FA) and polystyrene - polyisoprene block copolymer (PSI-FA). Papers using acid-base titration method for the determination of the end-capping efficiency, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13CNMR), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and Raman spectroscopy (Raman) to determine the structure of acyl acrylic polymer terminal functional groups; while taking advantage of the single-factor test method investigated polystyrene terminal functional reaction temperature, reaction time, the concentration of active chain, functionalized capping agent in an amount and polarity of additives on the efficiency of the end-capping, and on this basis orthogonal design, optimization of process conditions; according to the double molecular nucleophilic substitution reaction mechanism (SN2) analysis of the functionalized end-capping reaction mechanism; thermodynamic Analysis Method polystyrene capped around the glass transition temperature (Tg) and thermal stability of variation, with the atomic force microscope (AFM) observation The phenomenon of phase separation to the surface morphology of the functionalized polymer film. Finally, the paper proposed according to the characteristics of this end acyl acrylic functional polymers application prospects of further research.
