Digital City as a node of the Digital Earth , is an important and indispensable part of the construction of digital earth . The three-dimensional modeling and visualization of urban landscape is one of the key technologies of the digital city , have been widely used in many fields of construction, transportation , and urban planning . In this paper, related topics , and three-dimensional modeling and visualization of urban landscape , the main work is as follows : 1 . Based on the classification of the urban landscape modeling object , the establishment of a three-dimensional data structure , a series of three-dimensional reconstruction of the terrain and surface features model algorithm . 2. The basic theory of 3D visualization of digital cities using spectrophotometric method to achieve a three-dimensional landscape display accelerated drawing generation algorithms and special effects to enhance the three-dimensional rendering of the landscape . 3. Design a 3D rendering engine , the viewpoint switching the buildings indoor and outdoor landscape integration roaming using VRML technology to achieve a three-dimensional network-based digital city model browser . 4. In support of object-side with the image side of the two - way space coordinates query algorithm , by picking up a three-dimensional object , mutual query of spatial information and attribute information of the 3D scene model . 5. Based on three - dimensional topographic map of space analysis, the use of the a strict sunshine model the buildings sunshine analysis . 6. Algorithms integrated combination of relevant projects , the establishment of a a digital city three-dimensional visualization and information query analysis prototype system .
