Abstract


The three functions of colleges and universities are developing science, training personnel and serving the society, among which the second one is most important. It is necessary for colleges and universities to foster not only scientists, researchers and senior engineers who have a good command of basic theoretical research ability and first-class level of scientific research but also applied and inter-disciplinary talents with modern scientific and technological knowledge as well as management ability. In the 21st century, it has become a convention in higher education to conduct the cooperation of production, teaching and research among colleges, enterprises and scientific research institutions. Therefore, to adapt to social and economic development, local colleges and universities must train applied talents through the cooperation of production, teaching and research, which is also the effective means to promote local industrial structure transition. Along with the development of the relationship between colleges and the society, cooperation of production, teaching and research has become a favorable platform for Chinese higher education reform, development of universities as well as serving the social economy. As a result, colleges and universities can realize the three functions on this basis, which means the new era of the cooperation of production, teaching and research.The research idea and the content of this paper are as follows:Part 1:introduction, including the background, the significance of research, the research idea and the contents.Part 2:the basic theory of training applied talents through the cooperation of production, teaching and research in local colleges, including the elaboration of related concepts and theories.Part 3:learn experience in this field from some developed countries.Part 4:empirical analysis of SUSE (Sichuan University of science and Engineering) in this field.Part 5:the problems and reasons of the production, teaching and research in SUSEPart 6:concrete research about the strategy on how to improve it in local colleges. Part 7:conclusion, including specific conclusion, the enlightenment, the innovation point and the deficiency, etc.To sum up, Taking SUSE, a local university, as an example, adhering to the principle of integrating theory with practice, based on related theories, concepts, and the development history, this paper conducts empirical research on theoretical basis, development status, development history and effect in this field, at last finds out the problems and puts forward corresponding suggestions so as to improve the strategy of training applied talents in local colleges:1. To reach an ideological consensus on training applied talents through the cooperation of production, teaching and research in promoting discipline development, improving the academic level, improving the overall level of teaching staff, promoting curriculum program, updating the teaching content and improving the training quality of applied talents.2. To construct the motivity, control, security and evaluation mechanism on the principle of education, adaptability and reciprocity3. To raise money by all kinds of means such as strengthening local government support, making every effort to get government funds, improving the efficiency in school management and providing joint schools, so as to add a large input of funds and improve the conditions of school.4. To through constructing public technology service platform,deepening education teaching reform,conduct combination education and so on,so play the realistic significance of production, teaching and research,accelerate the training of the applied talents with high quality.
