Abstract


The theory of Corporate Evolution has been developing for about a hundred years, from Taylor’s theory to today’s various opinions. By combing and summarizing the history of the Western Corporate Evolution Theory, and by combining the characteristics of the Western Corporate Evolution and the historical background behind the major changes, this thesis intents to point out the current situation and trend of the Western Corporate Evolution Theory, and hopefully, with philosophical thinking, this will help the Chinese Corporate Evolution to be original and creative. Change can be quantitative or qualitative. In order to understand Corporate Evolution from these two perspectives, this thesis uses Organizing Vision as media to look into the Corporate Evolution Theory. i.e., Organizing Vision can divide the Corporate Evolution Theory into three phases, original, systematic and dialectical Organizing Vision; the characteristics, similarity and difference of the three phases will help to display the trend of the Corporate Evolution Theory in the last one hundred years. This is the research method of this thesis.The contents of the thesis are as following:1. Technological Rationalism focuses on materials, which demands corporate having clear measurability and certainty; while emotion logic of human brings organization back to immeasurability and uncertainty.2. Environment is taken into corporate and makes it an associative and contingent system. But the association is static and isolated.3. The interactive relationship between material, human and environment makes organization associative, dynamic and uncertain.During the three-phase Organizing Vision evolution, the Corporate Evolution Theory appears, along with an even deeper philosophical developing trend-non-Universalism. This will provide three hints on the creativity of the Chinese corporate evolution: on the basis of reality, valuing experience and upholding culture.The creativity of this thesis is listed below:1. Providing philosophical thinking for the research on the trend of CoiporateEvolution Theory. 2. Explorativly building a new Organizing Vision and naming it Dialectical Organizing Vision.3. Using Organizing Vision as media to understand the trend of Corporate Evolution Theory therefore dividing it to three phases.4. Distinguishing quantitative and qualitative change, and then use these two perspective to look into corporate evolution.
