At present lots of companies face the high competitive pressure because of globalization and industrial rapid development. How to be competitive under this situation, all companies have to think over this urgent question. The competition among companies is equal to the competition of market, and the competition of market is also equal to the competition of management level. High effective management capability can improve the competitive power of company.The paper studies orders operation in one multinational company whose business is in garment manufacturing and international trading. At present more orders operation methods are pull workflow in companies, we know that customer request is the absolute focus of company management. Management Information System operation is more important in the scenario of global competition. The paper focuses on MIS to study garment orders operation, which is meaningful in real business. Some operation management theories can be carried into orders running processes. In this paper, we analyze and study how to more effectively implement these theories to improve the orders operation processes.The paper selects company A as the study object who is one subsidiary of the multinational company. By based on MIS to analyze orders operation workflow, we find some interesting management issues and propose reasonable solutions after studying each workflow module function. More effectively running MIS can help to run orders operation more smoothly. Moreover, we can adjust orders running situation in different subsidiaries, so different subsidiaries can obey same operation standard in orders running processes.First, the paper reviews related operation theories and practices which builds the theory foundation of this paper.Second, the paper analyzes every module function of orders operation workflow, and studies actual orders operation situation in the MIS of the company. After detailed analysis, we find some deficiencies during orders operation.Third, based on Supply Chain Management, Theory of Constraints and Lean Production theories, the paper analyzes the reasons which cause the deficiencies in orders operation and propose corresponding solutions.The proposed improvement solutions are as follows,1, To implement production planning solution“Fastreact”;2, To optimize Internal Supply Chain Management and Supplier Relationship Management;3, To optimize sewing workflow layout;4, To improve product quality control system.Finally, to the whole multinational company management operation, this study has some meaningful experience to other companies. The results of this paper are also beneficial to increase core competitive capability for the garment manufacturing and trading company.We should use operation management theories to analyze and instruct these improvement solutions operations. SCM, TOC, JIT and LP such theories can be completed used in production operation. MIS is the basic of production operation smoothly running, we should really implement these improvement solutions in actual production operation, then the whole company developing will expedite.
