Abstract


With fast growth of traffic volume on freeway in our country,a lot of freeways that built up in early years appear that their capacities are insufficient,service levels drop,pavements damage,and those become the reasons of traffic jam and all kinds of road traffic accidents.In order to improve these conditions,some freeways have carried on the reconstruction.Main- taining traffic moving plan is one of key tasks for freeway reconstruction, this paper makes the research efforts on maintaining traffic moving plan in terms of the reconstruction project of Lian-Huo Freeway Zhengzhou segament as the pilot study case.Firstly,the various ways of freeway reconstruction technology are been summarized and analyzed,their advantages and disadvantages are given,and the process and traffic organiza- tion of the freeway reconstruction completed in China are analyzed.Author investigates,studies and analyzes traffic characteristics before the Lian-Huo freeway Zhengzhou section is reconstructed,and apply some theories and technniques traffic engineering,behavioral science,probability and stochastic analysis techniques to analyze the traffic characteristics of freeway work zone.Compared to the basic segment of freeway,there are many significant different conditions and traffic conditions between them,and these differences greatly affect the behaviors of the drivers and traffic flow characteristic of reconstruction zones.Secondly,microscopic trafic simulation models are established,and according to the traffic characteristics of freeway reconstruction zones,a microscopic trafic simulation software is selected for freeway reconstruction zones . As the capacity of freeway reconstruction zones,some impact factors are analyzed,then analysis method based on modifying basic traffic capacity of freeway reconstruction zones,analysis method based on traffic flow statistics and analysis method based on traffic simulation are used to study the capacity of freeway reconstruction zones.Finally,based on the capacity of freeway reconstruction zones,this paper designs and evaluates the maintaining traffic moving freeway’s main line,bridge,interchange,and the way of speed limitation.
