Abstract


Economic global makes the world great progress, which also brings some negative effect. For example, the industrial offal and living garbage have brought out serious environment pollution,many soil has turn into desert because of unceasing reclamations, many habitat of animals have decreased or disappeared because woods were overmuch cut down, many kinds of animals are decreasing or closing to die out. The daily living of people not only are affected, but also the diversities of animals are endangered. At present, in the earth, the amounts and kinds of animals are decreasing or disappearing. In order to offset these serious sequent because of many sightless activity of mankind, they begin to pay attention to protect living animals, gradual carry out some protectionism on the spot and in the different spot. But the latter become more important.Contrasting their home place, the habitation of animals have been changed, the growth and breed of animals will be affected. In order to settle the question, mankinds begin to develop the research of behavior ecological; they faced none but predominating correlative ecological knowledge of animals.Since 2002, the five kinds ungulate herbivores, include eland, blue wildebeest, springbok, scimitar—horned Oryx and common zebra were transferred to Jinan Zoo from Africa, then were domesticated and breed in the semi nature. But this is a rising behavior research due to these animals were imported our country from foreign country. Therefore, it will bring out guidance and protection function to domesticate and breed of these animals in our country if we grasp correlative knowledge about the behavior rhythm and time budget of them, and so on. At the same time, it also settles definite foundation to behavior research of these kinds of animals.In semi nature of Jinan Zoo, we observed their behaviors of the five kinds of Africa ungulate herbivores animals by through of instantaneous and scan sampling and all occurrence sampling, after ascertaining ethogram, then analyzing their behavior rhythm and time budget, may draw several conclusions as follows:(1) By way of analyzing the daily, monthly and seasonal active rhythm of Africa ungulate herbivores in Jinan Zoo, their behaviors take on rhythm, The grazing behavior of all the Artiodactyls herbivores have three peaks; bedding and ruminating behavior usually have two peaks respective, standing and moving behavior of elands have more time budget in a.m, but others are similar in one day. To the conclusion, every kind animal shows different rhythm. Common zebra is Perissodactyla herbivore whose grazing behavior has two peaks, the standing behavior has more time budget in fore and back of noon, moving and other behavior have less time budget in every hour of one day, but the other behavior show rhythm due to more frequencies.(2) There are different kinds of animals in semi nature, therefore, the factors of season and weather will bring different influence on their behavior. The analysis of variance shows: every kind of animal will show respective behavior rhythm due to different influence, that is self heredity and out environment.(3) The grazing behavior of ungulate herbivores have the most time budget in a day, but others have different time budget due to they belong to different animal.
