Artemisia annua (Artemisia annua L.) is a traditional Chinese medicine in China. Scientific and technological workers in China in the 1970s for the first time from the isolated antimalarial monomer - artemisinin antimalarial cure for schistosomiasis, AIDS complications at the same time have a good effect. Artemisinin is extracted from natural Artemisia annua is the only source of access to artemisinin. Current cultivation of Artemisia annua direct introduction of wild Artemisia annua, artemisinin content is low. The artemisinin content due to genetic differences between the monoclonal differences. The characteristics of the biological understanding of Artemisia annua breeding of fine varieties of high-yield basis; cultivate the artemisinin content medicinal Artemisia annua cultivation varieties will greatly enhance economic efficiency. Determination of artemisinin content method this thesis research in the laboratory detection of artemisinin content of Artemisia annua selected on the basis of the detection method for genetic breeding, and then study the biological characteristics of Artemisia annua and artemisinin content dynamics , provide the basis for high artemisinin content of Artemisia annua breeding as well as high-yield cultivation also provide the basis for the optimal sampling time to determine the best harvest production and breeding process. Main results are as follows: 1, experimental results by the determination of the characteristic peaks in the UV spectrum after the conversion of the alkali artemisinin, λmax = 292nm. Therefore, based on the understanding of artemisinin detection methods, the paper of artemisinin determination method validation studies have shown that artemisinin content using ultraviolet spectrophotometry method is simple, accurate, but the quality of the NaOH solution concentration should be controlled within the range of 0.2% ± 0.02%, or Q is 2 92 the absorbance value decreased, the measurement result is not accurate. The Artemisia annua seed dormancy, spring, summer, and autumn sowing can germination and early seedling growth slow, strong resistance to the cold, smooth wintering. Sources in different parts of Artemisia annua fertility differences, sources Xiushan shortest growth period, Zigong region followed by the Youyang region's longest. Were higher the Youyang Introduced in the Artemisia annua, whose leaves yield, and artemisinin average content. Directly related to the production of Artemisia annua leaf growth period, the longer growth period, the higher the leaf yield. Artemisinin artemisinin content differences in cross-pollinated plants, monoclonal, coefficient of variation from the Xiushan region was 34.3%, 36.9% comes from Zigong, derived from youyang region was 38.6%. Green high artemisinin content per plant the seeds in mixed groups developed into the lines, and has gradually increased the proportion of its average artemisinin content and high artemisinin content per plant, low content of monoclonal share ratio and individual The artemisinin content decreasing coefficient of variation. Through two generations of breeding, comes from the the Xiushan region of Artemisia annua artemisinin content increased by 18.14%, from 10.13% of the the Youyang region's raise the proportion of high artemisinin content and higher artemisinin content per plant sources in Xiushan region rose by 8.0% and 22.0% to 11.1% and 35.6%, respectively, by 14.0% and 25.0%, respectively derived from youyang region rose to 22.9% and 28.6%; while low levels monoclonal proportion, sources in the the Xiushan region 12.o% down to 2.2%, comes from the the Youyang region decreased from 13.0% to 1.9%. Therefore, the choice of the best of the best, able to breed high artemisinin content of Artemisia annua cultivars. Growth period Artemisia annua, artemisinin content of the effective part of the late vegetative growth to flowering period gradually reduce the effective part of the yield differences, to the highest squaring stage, the flower bud differentiation stage, followed by the flowering stage again of vegetative growth post-lowest net production of monoclonal artemisinin squaring stage the highest bud differentiation stage followed by flowering period again of the lowest of the late vegetative growth. Flower bud differentiation stage artemisinin yield per plant compared with the squaring stage, the difference was not significant. Artemisinin content of the different growth stages of the effective portion of the same individual plant there is a significant positive correlation or very significant positive correlation. Before flowering in the breeding process in order to ensure there is sufficient time to complete the detection, sampling in the late vegetative growth. Bud differentiation stage and the squaring stage the same per plant at all levels of Mycobacterium effective part of the artemisinin content differences are not significant, but the differences in all levels of Mycobacterium an effective part of the production, artemisinin yield significantly different to artemisinin yield the highest level branching effective part. Considering all levels of branch and effective part of the production and artemisinin content and each growth period, the effective portion of the total production and artemisinin content, immature bud stage of harvest is expected in production on the third level of branching leaves fully extended Get to the maximum economic benefits.
