Abstract


As the representatives of the folk Confucians, Duan, zhengyuan who is the grass root stratum, demonstrated surge attitude when facing the extinction of Chinese traditional culture represented by the Confucians. He confirmed that " Datong " is the outlet of China even the world. This text studies a political " Datong " of Duan, zhengyuan, which mainly put him in the philosophy history especially compared with Confucius and Mencius. On one hand, Theory of " Datong" inherited Confucius and Mencius; On the other hand, outline his political ideal was different from Confucius and Mencius.This paper tentatively studies the theory of " Datong": (1) what is the basis of the theory of " Datong"? (2) Can the theory of " Datong" solve real problem and reform the order of human world?This paper not only concludes the idea of "Internal Sage and External Emperor " of the theory of" Datong", it also points out the export-oriented character of the theory of "Datong". Confucianism which its value faith, and one kind of political goal it stands for, is regarded as the leading standards of China’s traditional culture, development and continuity to the traditional society of China, acts a function of the spiritual fulcrum any kind of theory can do. From this fulcrum, to study the political ideal of Duan, zhengyuan and even of the Confucianists is undoubtedly very essential.
