Abstract


The metaphor is an important way of the world and the means of human cognition , it exists in our daily lives and learning is an important linguistic phenomenon . Link for metaphor research is to learn a language process is necessary , it can help us to better understand the abstract , obscure concept . This article focuses on the ability to help English learners metaphor awareness to a better understanding of the specific areas of English reading articles . First, select some text from the \Higher frequency metaphor theme will be categorized the text . Then paper will implicit in the metaphor of intent , the potential implications of these text and detailed analysis, metaphor awareness necessary to arrive . Moreover , the article also passed a test to further verify the importance of improving the metaphor awareness . The experimental results show that , by raising metaphor awareness , English learners can better understand the intention of the author to express and implied meaning , and thus a more thorough understanding of the full text .
