Objective To investigate the rhBMP-2/20% β-TCP/PDLLA ( recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein -2/20 % beta - tricalcium phosphate / osteogenic potential of racemic polylactic acid ) complexes at the lumbar spine after posterolateral fusion . ( 1 ) will be used casting salting technology to produce 20 % β-TCP/PDLLA scaffold with rhBMP-2 composite , to be made rhBMP-2/20% β-TCP/PDLLA complex . 24 ② 4 -month-old male New Zealand rabbits , weighing 2.8-3.4 kg , were randomly divided into A, B groups of 12 each , according to the method described Boden production L4 , 5 transverse process interbody fusion model , A group implanted rhBMP -2/20% β-TCP/PDLLA complex , B group was implanted with autologous bone block . Randomly selected two animals were sacrificed 6 weeks in advance of general observation , X-ray observation of new bone formation , bone graft material , and early histological features , and the remaining 10 after 12 weeks of observation, analysis . Composite artificial bone with autologous iliac bone graft showed good biocompatibility , were able to achieve good spinal fusion . 12 weeks, the composite artificial bone not only early osteogenesis large amount of new bone formation , but also in the formation of new bone , while reshaping the gradual degradation of the carrier material , and 12 weeks after the formation of more mature trabecular bone structure , formed by the fusion block , high strength . However , the move to 12 weeks after they formed new bone with autologous bone structure compared to need further shaping and perfect . Conclusion The 20 % β-TCP/PDLLA is promising bone graft substitute materials . Its structure, degradation of the micro-environment are conducive to rhBMP-2 play a role has a strong induction of bone tissue and bony fusion , and its strong integration with autologous bone transplantation . Which is expected to become a new type of artificial bone graft material required for spine surgery . , In-depth study of the long-term efficacy should be further improved
