Abstract

At present, the domestic research on college sports in the United States is the lack of systematic and integrity, in particular the lack of a complete study instance a university sports, and are concentrated in the U.S. intercollegiate sports contest, and the American University of Physical Education Curriculum teaching activities and extra-curricular sports activities is relatively small. U.S. sports studies at the University of insufficient use of literature and the Comparative Study of Law, Harvard University and Columbia University sports activities for instance, from both the macro and micro point of view, a more systematic and comprehensive study of the American University sports activities management and operation mechanism of the activities included in the contents of its various activities, expectations for our PE reform to provide some reference information. American University Sports Ministry is the only organization management school sports activities, and its staff is composed mainly by administrative officials and managers, coaches, physical education teachers and fitness instructors are generally fixed configuration that does not belong to the university athletic department; Study on PE Ministry staff is composed mainly by administrative staff and full-time physical education teachers. U.S. college sports are generally divided into two categories: inter-school sports competition and entertainment and sporting events. Entertainment and sporting events generally include the Teaching of Physical Education and Sports Competition, club sports, collective and individual extracurricular physical exercise. Universities in China is the lack of extra-curricular sports activities organized similar to American University as a platform for all kinds of sports and fitness center. U.S. intercollegiate sports contest implementation is the commonality of the organization and management mode, each member schools must be in compliance with the management rules and regulations on the basis of jointly developed, the implementation of the organization and management of the behavior of their respective interscholastic athletic competition.
