As technology advances, the communication system has been a great development. The application and popularization of high-speed networks made possible by the high performance requirements of the application. These applications have strict restrictions on the network performance of the network throughput, delay, delay, jitter, and packet loss rate. Therefore, IETF ensure service delivery model for these applications to ensure that the performance of services, IntServ is one of the most important one. Today IntServ packet-switched networks has become the communications infrastructure of the Internet. Relative to the traditional communication network to provide data services, IntServ network can provide various types of services for a variety of businesses, including data, voice, video, and other data stream. Real-time communication services must be able to for the user to send the data transmission delay, delay jitter, throughput and packet loss rate performance guarantee. However, the analysis of network performance, especially the end-to-end performance analysis of the complexity of the problem has been recognized. Network calculus is an emerging theory be able to solve the complex problem of the network. The theory is based on the minimum plus algebra theory established. The application of network calculus, can make it easier to understand the the IntServ network of basic characteristics, the window business flow control, data scheduling, and calculate the buffer and delay performance. Similarly, the end-to-end maximum delay, delay jitter, the maximum queue length and the effective bandwidth can also easily apply network calculus to derive. In this thesis, in-depth study based the Network Calculus network modeling and performance analysis method. The paper first introduces some basic concepts of network calculus, focuses on two of the most important analytical tools: Arrival and service curves. Application reaches the curve intuitive analysis of some of the classic network business model, such as: leaky bucket algorithm model, the generic cell rate algorithm model, constant bit rate traffic model and variable bit rate traffic models. Then the paper introduces a delay with a simple rate curve abstract representation of the packet scheduler. Based on these analysis tools and basic rules derived when the reach the business flow of the business flow of the leaky bucket algorithm, the generic cell rate algorithm business flow, constant bit stream and variable bit stream delay bound, queue length sector and the effective bandwidth. And discussion on the basis of the analysis of network calculus Intserv resource reservation, admission control and performance analysis applications. The paper also uses network calculus as an analytical tool to study the performance of the service strategy. Summarized the the service strategy basic principles proposed in the literature for each connection in a packet-switched network to provide end-to-end performance guarantees on the basis of the service curve network calculus to simulate a variety of services strategy, and the network calculus theoretical analysis tools to derive performance guarantees provided by these services strategy, indicating that their mechanism, similarities and differences. Service strategy analysis problems and their solutions are also discussed, and finally, in a general framework to study and compare these services strategy. Thesis with some application examples prove the correctness and validity of the analytical results in this paper, all conclusions are deduced for network planning and design, and network optimization.
