This thesis is a taxonomic study of Guangxi’s Er iophyid mite. The prev ious researches are reviewed in the first part. The previous work on the biogeography of Eriophyid mite is also summarized in the thesis. The mainly morphology characters in the taxonomy of Er iophyoidea are introduced. At the same time, the numerical taxonomy, including UPGMA and the shortest distance methods, are used to investigate the phylogenetic relationships among 15 species of er iophyoid mites which belong to 3 fami I ies. The simi lar ities and differences between the two methods with the traditional morphology classify are explored in this thesis.In the taxonomy part, forty species, belonging to twenty-four genera, are treated. Among them, two genera and twenty-seven species are described as new to science, two species are recorded for the f i rst t ime to China. The new taxa included are as follows.New genera: Paraphyllocoptes, gen. n. ; Neohyboderus, gen. n. .New species.- Acerialiuzhouensis, sp. nov. ; Aceria didiptera, sp. nov. ; Acer/a shangsiensis, sp.nov. ; Acerimina microcis, sp. nov. ; Neocosella corylopsis, sp. nov. ; Disella cylindrokeluphae, sp. nov. ; Disella jasmini, sp. nov. ; Cose I la hedyotis, sp. nov. ; Shevtchenke 11 a evodia, sp. nov. ; Paraphyl locoptes shiwanshanensis , sp. nov. ; Phy 11 ocoptacus adinandrae, sp.nov. ; Abacarus panic!, sp. nov. ; Abacarus arundo, sp.nov. ; Tegonotus act in id i a, sp. nov. ; Tetra polygon!, sp. nov. ; Tetra clerodendri, sp. nov. ; Phyl locoptruta damingshanensis, sp. nov. ; Neotegonotus shangsiensis, sp. nov. ; Calepitrimerus nanningensis , sp.nov. ; Rhyncaphytoptus acer , sp. nov. ; Neohyboderus choerospondi as, sp. nov. ; Dipti lorn i opus dendropanac is, sp. nov. ;Dipt Horniopus euryae, sp. nov. ; Dipt i lomiopus acronychia, sp. nov. ; Diptacus betulae, sp. nov. ; Diptacus damingshanensis, sp.nov. ; Diptacus diospyris, sp. nov. .New records: Slamina cruminae Boczek 1993; PIatyphytoptus sabinianaeKeifer 1938.In the numerical taxonomy part, 14 characters of the 15 species are chosen.The cluster results indicate that there are differences between the two methods with the traditional morphology classify, and the shortest distance methods is much more. Both the two methods support clustering firstly to the OTUS 5 and 6, 7and 9, 8 and 15, 13 and 14, and OTU 4 is clustered alone into a fami ly.AI I the type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Agr i cultural College, Guangxi University.
