Objective To investigate the oral administration of 25% glucose, smell appease measures of neonatal pain due to heel lancing, to provide a reference for neonatal pain management. Method 1. Heel selected 25 patients required blood test blood sugar more than twice the neonatal, self-control, and randomly selected one given intervention, denoted by the intervention group, two minutes before heel lancing oral 1ml 25% glucose; blood collection The whole process does not take any interventions in mind for the conventional group. Neonatal facial coding system (NFCS), the newborn acute pain behavior rating scale (DAN), cried long and heart rate changes as pain assessment indicators, comparing two groups observed differences. Select the 25 patients required the heel blood test blood sugar more than twice the neonatal, self-control, give vanillin in the two hours before heel lancing mixed solution familiar smell (olfactory appease), denoted by the intervention group; conventional group interventions. NFCS, DAN, crying, heart rate changes, and the time required for reply baseline heart rate as a pain assessment indicators, the observed difference was. 3. The comparative of olfaction appease measures and oral 25% glucose neonatal pain caused by heel lancing. Results 1. Oral 1ml 25% glucose group newborns: NFCS score in of acupuncture and Jinie stage score significantly lower than the conventional group (all P lt; 0.01); DAN score in facial expressions, body movement, sound performance in three aspects value and total scores were significantly lower than the conventional group (all P lt; 0.01); length of the cry of the recovery phase significantly shorter than the conventional group (P lt; 0.05); heart rate faster than the conventional group, puncture instantly (0s), 5s 10s, 15s, 40s, 85s heart rate difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Olfactory appease the group of newborns: NFCS score in the acupuncture, Jinie stage the, squeeze 1min and squeeze after 2min score was significantly lower than the conventional group (all P lt; 0.01); DAN score in facial expressions, body movement, voice Performance scores and total scores were significantly lower than the conventional group (all P the lt; <.01); replies stage crying when length was significantly shorter than the conventional group (P lt; 0.01); heart rate was significantly lower than that in the conventional group, Reply baseline heart rate. need time significantly shorter than the conventional group (P lt; 0.05). Olfactory appease the group and the oral administration of 25% glucose group long in the the NFCS score, DAN score and crying no significant difference (all P gt; 0.05), but the sense of smell to appease the heart rate can significantly reduce neonatal pain operation. Conclusion 1. Heel lancing, given a 25% glucose 1ml can significantly reduce neonatal crying the noisy and pain score from, but could not prevent the increase in heart rate. In assessing neonatal pain, combined behavioral and physiological responses are more reliable than single which any one way. Heel lancing, given the sense of smell to appease measures can significantly reduce neonatal cry noisy, pain scores, scores, heart rate, and to Reply baseline heart rate. The above results show that the use of the sense of smell can reduce irritation state newborn blood collection and relieve the pressure of pain after the operation ends.
