Abstract

Objective: To investigate the type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) possible impacts of the rat prostate and bladder tissue of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) , nitric oxide ( NO ) content and bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) . Methods: 40 male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups , each group 10 : BPH merger T2DM group , the T2DM group , BPH and control groups . BPH with T2DM group , the T2DM group subcutaneous injection of testosterone propionate ( 50mg/kg ) , 28 days of continuous injection to establish animal models of BPH ; BPH merger T2DM group , BPH group high-sugar high-fat diet for 4 weeks , a one-time via the tail intravenous injection of STZ (50mg/kg), the establishment of T2DM animal models . Modeled after the success of the rats in each group were sacrificed , and the removal of the prostate and bladder tissue of rats body weight and bladder and bilateral prostate weight were accurately weighed and calculated prostate index , measured by nitrate reductase prostate , bladder Nitric Oxide content . Results: 1) The difference between the four groups in the prostate index was statistically significant ( F = 10.17 , P lt ; 0.05) . Which , BPH merger T2DM group , respectively, compared to the T2DM group , the control group , and the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) . BPH group compared with the control group , and the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) . In BPH BPH and T2DM group showed no statistical significance ( P gt ; 0.05) difference between the I group had no statistical significance ( P gt ; 0.05) ; 2 ) prostate tissue NO content in the difference in the four groups statistically significant (F = 10.92, P lt; 0.05). Prostate tissue NO content in BPH and T2DM group was significantly lower than the T2DM group , BPH and control groups , and the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) ; BPH group compared with the control group , the difference was statistically significance (P lt; 0.05), the difference between T2DM and control groups had no statistical significance ( P gt ; 0.05) ; 3 ) nO content in the bladder tissue with BPH T2DM group , T2DM group and BPH group below control group , but the difference was not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion : when BPH merge T2DM NO content in the prostate tissue decreased significantly , T2DM may be through the synergy of androgen -induced the BPH premature BOO ; NO content in the prostate tissue of BPH group was significantly lower than the control group , indicating that NO levels in the male reproductive organs influenced by androgen levels and prostate androgen target organ reasons .
