Abstract


Transitive inference is an important aspect of cognitive development , but also an important foundation for the development of children's thinking . Scientific psychology research began in the early 20th century , can be divided into five phases . Studies have mainly involved the nature of transitive inference , individual transitive inference the earliest age, individual transitive inference mental model , individuals transitive inference capability strategy and other issues. Previous studies on children transitive inference vast majority of children in the physical realm transitive reasoning, such as length , height, size and other issues. But the child's cognitive development, not only refers to the children's perception of the physical world , but also refers to the social world awareness. And children's cognitive development and social development is not separated from each other in the process , but interdependent. In this study, 240 children aged 9-11 were tested , designed two experiments were used 3 × 2 × 2 and 3 × 2 design , comparing children's everyday contexts Transitive Inference and physical Transitive Inference and daily situations true transitive inference and false transitive inference . Experimental results are as follows : 1,9 years old, 10 years old, 11 year-old children in everyday situations transitive reasoning ability than physical Transitive Inference develop more slowly, to 11 years of age, children everyday contexts transitive inference capability remains immature. 2 , children in the physical transitive inference than in everyday situations transitive inference using more logical strategy . Children in everyday situations using transitive inference logic strategy and non- logical policy difference was not significant . 3 , children in everyday situations similar transitive inference on the false transitive inference according to social experience from their social world to get the rules and put it into simple reasoning strategies, which enable them to predict more complex social result of the interaction .
