The paper researches the integrated system of the middle school P.E. teacher’s pre-work education and on-the-job training in early 21s1 century China by means of documentary, investigation, mathematical statistics, logical analysis and comparative law, focusing on the P.E. teacher’s education in fourteen countries in Asia> European> America and Oceania .The research result shows that the development of China’s P.E. teacher education has kept pace with international practice in early 21st century. The P.E. teacher’s education outside China has many characteristics as follows: (D different types of varied ways of training, diversified goals of training, different types of training pattern ; (2) the course arrangement emphasizes on the characteristics of synthesis % basis > pedagogy > objection .. option .. miniaturization, internationalization, (3) close attention to pre-work education, implementing the regulation of teacher’s qualification authentication, on-the-job training legitimatized, pattern diversified, training institution perfected, training scale enlarged; ?the three stages of P.E. teacher education inter-linked, correlated, inter-osmosed , the integrated system more perfect and advanced. China’s P.E. higher education in the new stage should change minds and update ideas to cultivate versatile talents of" solid-foundation.. wide-channeKhigh-quality-.capable*adaptive% creative" according to the social needs, on the basis of the open compound talent training pattern highlighting "optimized course structure, updated teaching contend, widened course arrangement, adjusted students’ knowledge layout, strengthened humane quality, enhanced students’ ability ". China gradually attached importance to middle school P.E. teacher’s professional preparatory education. The authentication system of teachers’ qualification should be legitimatized scientifically. In present days on-the-job training should concentrate on changing teaching outlook, broadening horizon, mastering modern teaching theory & technology, upgrading scientific research, close correlating the reform & development of basic P.E. education especially popularizing the new course of P.E. & health and producing new anticipation & demand for P.E. teachers’ structure of knowledge ^ ability & quality. China’s P.E. teacher’s education just has a short history, existing a phenomenon taking pre-work education seriously but neglecting on-the-job training result in forming a gap between them. Therefore, the integrated system of P.E. teacher education has not taken shape fully.The aim of this study is to lay foundation for deepening reform the course system of P.E. education major in Chinese universities and colleges at the beginning of new century, and also to offer some references for the integrated system of P.E. teacher’s education in China.
