The Effect to Related False Memory Caused by the Span of Digit Short-term Memory, Types of Words and Background Music

The study was divided into two experiments, the experiment in order to proven DRM paradigm was whether a correlation error memory, and digital short-term memory span different individuals produce false memories of relevance whether there are differences. Results of the second experiment, the background music as one of the independent variables were selected happy and sad classical music. The aim is to further explore the music is able to inhibit the generation of false memories, as well as to promote the memory effect. In this study, using empirical research related error memory using DRM paradigm, from the Shenyang Institute of Physical Education Department of Humanities freshman, a total of 120 people. Experimental findings found: DRM paradigm so correlation error memory; digital short-term memory span did not affect false memories of relevance. Experiment II study results found that: be test under different background music in false re-recognition rate differences, but in learning words in the correct re-recognition rate, pleasant background music of the subjects scores better in under sad background music was examination results. Overall, the main draw the following conclusions: (1) the individual figures have a tendency to increase in the short-term memory span. The digital short memory span level can not be a proper recognition of the impact of the words, can not affect the level of false memories. (2) DRM experimental paradigm relevance false memories. (3) word type and background music interaction word types were significant differences in the level of musical background, and the background music only on learning the words affirmative response rate was significantly different. The correct recognition rate is higher than under the pleasant background music the sad context correct recognition rate, regardless pleasant background music or sad background music did not affect the rate of false recognition. Finally, the study draws the following recommendations: (1) in some intelligence tests in personnel selection, the level of digital memory and can not objectively reflect the level of individual memory, through methods such as verbal memory can be further conduct a comprehensive study on the level of individual memory. (2) When the individual precise memory of the memory material to understand the essence of the correlation error memory, so that the incidence of awareness reduce the associated error memory. (3) The school can try to apply the appropriate background music teaching, student study classroom to improve student learning efficiency, cultivate the students' imagination, creativity, promote student music induced positive emotions and learning experience linked to enhanced student learning initiative and enthusiasm, stimulate and maintain a good student interest in learning.
