Abstract


In verbal communication, people use language for interpersonal communication, it is also intentionally or unintentionally, to build the identity of themselves or others. Obviously, communication widespread phenomenon of identity construction, has become a pragmatic phenomenon can not be ignored and worthy of study. Domestic and foreign scholars of different disciplines have from the interdisciplinary research perspective, identity building were analyzed and achieved fruitful results, for our identity construction depth study provides a broader perspective and literature resources. A more detailed review of the session analysis, and members of the scope of analysis of Research on the Construction of the theory of identity in daily communication activities, its main achievements and shortcomings, and then summarizes the related issues of identity construction in everyday verbal communication. On this basis, this paper attempts from the the cognitive pragmatic point of view, the use of Verschueren (2000) Adaptation Theory of cognitive, social and cultural identity construction synoptic study aims to explore the identity construction Adaptation Model identity construction behind the phenomenon of Cognitive Pragmatics mechanism, and then build identity in the context of communication compliance interpretation. Adaptation Theory identity construction described as a dynamic language selection and responsive process. Subsequently, the based on pragmatics structure that is conform to the overall framework of the theory, identity construction Adaptation Model, in order to examine the identity construction of Cognitive Pragmatics mechanism. The Adaptation Model description as a dynamic process to adapt to the whole process of identity construction. Specifically, under the guidance of salience, the communication participants from a range of possibilities which activate the context ingredients and make the negotiated language selection, thus making the language selection and context-related components to achieve dynamic mutual adaptation, and ultimately close to the identity building Communicative need satisfaction point. Subsequently, three of the world from the communicative context that mental world, the departure of the social world and the physical world, in a more detailed analysis of the compliance of identity construction. Speaking from a theoretical point of view, this study is not only conducive to observation and analysis of verbal communication in identity building phenomenon, but also to enrich and deepen language theory also have some contribution. Application value, the identity of people build some guidance to help people pass or obtain identity information, and to establish a self-image.
