Abstract


Nowadays China is on the transition from traditional society to modern society , which inevitably makes the education development in China have the character of transition. Also, the research on teachers’ qualification and personality development bears this character. There are a lot of controversy over the contents of social transition .Here , I define it as changes from traditional society to modern society ,From planned economy to market economy ,from closed society to open -up . Society from the point of view of society transition, the thesis analyses the effects of transition on teachers’ personality, explores the ideal personality patterns, reveals its contents, characters, functions, effects and causes, so that to bring forward the system of self, training on teachers’ personality to adapt to the social development and the development of teacher’s qualification.The introduction part mainly illustrates that education shapes personality. The first part theoretically analyses the definition, the character and the function of teachers’ personality. Discusses the causes, especially expounding the confirming factor. Offering the reasons of character training. The second part illustrates the effects of transition on teachers’ personality and the new challenges and the ways to overcome its negative effects and expand teachers’ personality. The third part explores the ideal personality patterns on the basis of psychological theory, illustrates the core issues of healthy and noble personality and ways to realize it by oneself. The fourth part talks about the system, methods and ways to self-shape teachers’ personality. In the thesis, the author thinks that the way to shape teachers’ personality is different from that of students’ the former has good basis on morality and psychological behaviors and relies on self-shape. Accordingly, the teachers must fully realize the necessity and urgency to positively reshape their ideal personality to adjust to the requirements of quality education and social development.We are now in the crucial period of constructing our socialist market economy. In the new century, the teachers are confronted with new conditions and problems. Society transition, further promotion of open-up policy and China’s entry into WTO raise new requirement and tasks for teachers. We must face up to the reality and the challenges simultaneously and innovatively to develop teachers’ personality. And following the guide of Chairman Jiang’s "three represents", we would seek for the truth and emancipate the thoughts to achieve the goal of ideal personality.
