Abstract

Traditional scalar diffraction theory , the law of the square of the complex amplitude of the light field intensity definition to describe the energy transfer of the light field . Taking into account the light field energy flux density of the vector characteristics , this approach has serious limitations , only applies to the description of the paraxial scalar light field , does not apply to the description of the the nonparaxial scalar optical field . For the description of the non - paraxial scalar optical field energy Propagation must consider the flow density vector of characteristics of the light intensity precisely defined - unit time per unit area on the energy flow through time average should be used to accurately describe a a cross section of the energy flow , which is consistent with the actual measurement value of the light intensity . The research topic applications of light field the angular spectrum diffraction theory , the flat faces diffraction field , said for the dissemination of the superposition of waves and prosperous death wave of , a systematic study of the paraxial scalar light field and nonparaxial scalar light field of energy transfer law ; to Gaussian light wave through the tiny hole nonparaxial beams , for example, to calculate the cross-section perpendicular to the beam propagation axis precise light intensity and total energy flow ; perpendicular to the transmission axis of the beam cross section intensity precisely defined by Siegman proposed paraxial beam is used to describe the beam quality second intensity moment theory extended to the nonparaxial scalar beam , and systematic study of nonparaxial scalar beams of the second intensity moment Propagation , on this basis, the on the given the nonparaxial scalar beam waist radius , the far-field divergence angle and the the nonparaxial beam beam quality factor M to 2 , and with the traditional intensity defined conclusion , some new conclusions; Gaussian light wave , for example , calculated with hard edge aperture restrictions nonparaxial Gaussian beam quality factor , calculated in free space transmission nonparaxial hyperbolic sine Gaussian beam nonparaxial hyperbolic cosine beam quality factor of the Gaussian beam and paraxial comparison ; qualitative analysis of the basic principle - the breakthrough of the diffraction-limited resolution angular spectrum diffraction theory and quantum mechanics uncertainty relation for scanning near-field optical microscope .
