Abstract


Nontraumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head is a common disease in osteopathy clinic which is difficult to be treated.There is no record of "ANFH"in TCM,but its’ pathogenesis usually due to the irregularity in daily life affection by external six Evils,eating and drinking without temperance,which cause the Deficieny of both Liver and Kidney,Disfuction of the Liver and Kidney , disharmony between Qi and Blood. Its’ therapetic methods always use tonify Liver and Kidney , promont Blood circulation to dissipate Blood stasis and resolve Phlegm and diapel Dampness eta. Western medicine study on its pathogenic causes and mechanism.and have made lots of experiments and epidemiology . There are six facters in its pathogenic causes:1 steroid-induced 2 alcohol-induced 3 radiation 4. blood diseases 5 blood vessel related disease 6 other factors eta.Its mechanism is related with stasis in vein.bone marrow pressure rising;fat metabolic disorder;microvessel damage; osteoporosis eta. This paper provides a comprehensive report on the accomplishment of TCM and western medicine on pathogenisis and mechanism of ANFH in last 20 years.and provides problems during the research,and exploring in the future.Meanwhile we did a Epidemiology of the pathogenisis of 109 patients that come from the osteopathy clinic from December,2001 to December,2003 of the teaching hospital of chengdu university of TCM. The results:orticosteroid is the first factor,alcoholic is the second.But in recent years,there are more and more patients cause by alcoholic,and it always accompany with smoking.So we should stronger the study of popular science to to doctors and nurses.treat disese by hormonecarefully.and give publicity to the high risk people to preventing the ANFH.
